Hi, my name is Melissa, and I'm a freelance writer living in the Los Angeles area. I enjoy and seek out collaboration, aspiring to be a Creative Director or well-seasoned Content Strategist when I grow out of my twenties. I'm fond of researching topics and bringing them to life with words and pop culture references, as well as crafting snarky taglines and clever quips--my early onset Gilmore Girls obsession is to blame. On every project, I bring a passion for the creative process, a keen eye for detail, and a fine-tuned ear for language. My film photography is inspired by street art, city life, the natural world, and the magical places where these backdrops start to blend together. Through minimal, line-dominant designs, my ink illustrations seek to convey stark emotion and raw imagination. In my spare time, I write short stories, create mood boards, collage, hike, cook high-carb Italian meals, raid the local thrift stores, and practice chords and scales on my red electric Stratocaster. I'm also a cat mom to a talkative tuxedo kitty named Molly.
